Finally Southgate has seen sense and selected Bamford for his latest England squad ... this will be a big boost for the lad, and hopefully help him to kick on now that he'll be recognised as an international player ... looks like that Watkins from Villa has made way With Phillips in the squad as well, Bamford should have little trouble settling in and hopefully he gets a good run out, and a goal or two Kane tried his best to force a move to Citeh, but now that they have gone cold on him it's suddenly all love and roses at Spuds, with excuses being made and "reasons" being offered as to why he missed training and all that bulltwang ... I wonder if Kane's unprofessionalism has left him feeling a bit uneasy about his skipper, maybe he should pass the armband to someone else *COUGH* *COUGH* I'm pleased for Bamford, but surprised Harrison is still being overlooked ... what y'all think?
No excuse for not using him in at least one of the crap friendlies. He deserves it and was a much better option than DCL because hes not as one dimensional. Pleased for him
Well that’s doubled his value, if he gets a cap and puts in a performance it will rocket him up to £80m or more in value. In regards to Harrison I feel the odd one out as I think he is a decent squad player but we still need better. I keep reading comments on here and other places how the fans really rate him, I know I’m in the minority I just struggle to see what the excitement is with him
hmmm ... Harrison has an excellent first touch and technique, he's got gas and a good cross, and he can also score goals ... he's genuinely been excellent for Leeds, a proper baller and £11m was fkn robbery ... he has a first class attitude as well, and he's still young ... he will only get better and better, I genuinely rate him ... you're right in that he's not the finished article, but he's better than at least 80% of wide men in the Prem
If you compare Harrison to Costa, both struggled when they got here, Costa probably got more leeway because of some of the performances for Wolves, fans saying, he just needs game time we know he can do it, Harrison though, it was, no wonder City don't want him, he's not good enough fro the championship let alone if we get promoted. Move on a few seasons, Jack knows he needs to work on things, so what does he do, takes himself off to America, works on his fitness and it pays dividends, yes he's not the finished article but he wants to improve himself which shows great attitude. Now compare that to Costa, someone who goes through the motions, has no heart for a fight, shows no desire, he's a nothing man.
I'd perfer none of our team gets called up for their countries, but it's a sign of how much Bielsa has improved them as players. The only thing with Bamford is he won't get the same loyalty that his does get from Bielsa, if he doesn't score quickly he may be dropped as quick as he was picked.
Totally agree Billy. Harrison has improved year on year. If he can just improve a bit on decision making I think we have an absolutely first class player on our hands - I actually wouldn't swap him for Sterling now so he can't be a million miles from International recognition in my opinion
well deserved ! not only does he scores goals he's a team player. Whatever the future holds for him at international level he at least deserved a chance finally he gets one.
Pleased for Patrick as I was for Kalvin but if they come back with injuries I will be less than pleased
I'm a fierce critic of Bamford. However he fully deserves recognition for the form he has shown the last 12 months. He is on a real hot streak. Long may it continue.
Bamford will always have his dry spells, so as a Scottish Leeds supporter, I hope he saves all his crap games for england & is on fire for Leeds. Not unreasonable, is it?
