Haha, the mirror linking us with Balotelli! Might give us all a bit of entertainment at least. Its probably just a slow day and they see a sulky Frenchy unsettled and think Newcastle. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/mario-balotelli-could-set-incredible-13810752
Not happening - Next. In the famous words of our resident Chaos, "We won't sign anyone, sell our best players and get relegated".
Oh FFS, not happening, BUT....can you imagine if it did?! Couldn't score for **** at Liverpool despite perfect service, has a stinking attitude and throws darts at fans. No thanks.
1 week in and not the slightest indication we’re buying anyone. Last year we already knew we were looking at Dubravka, Kenedy and Slimani. We knew about those for a good while before the window opened. This year, absolutely nothing.
I can't imagine there would be too many worse signings for us at the minute. Maybe Ben Arfa. Seriously our situation is critical and we need everyone rowing in the same direction just to survive. Someone like Balotelli is too much of luxury and risk for ourselves. You could argue there is never a time you need people like Ben Arfa or Balotelli but a healthier club can manage them. Not that it matters as we will sign no one.
Both can win games on their own. At present we barely look like scoring a goal with the useless Perez, Atsu etc. Even when Allardyce built teams with his turgid football he'd have 1 or 2 proper footballers with the other 9 or 10 plodders
You couldn't risk them with us at the minute. Not the way we play. They'd both be very very frustrated under Rafa and would have no interest in him requiring them work hard. All that would happen is there would be a big fall and they'd upset the apple cart. Allardyce for all his negative stance would tell players like JJ Okocha to just go and play. Rafa won't do that (although he does seem happy for Rondon to lollop about pretending to close people down). Rafa would sicken players like this. He prefers a Luis Garcia type. Not as talented but works harder.
