do we know how far away he is? I'd assumed he was a post-World Cup returner. Could do with him now seeing Alese is out until after World Cup as well

I cant get my head round how he was ruled out for 4 to 6weeks in August with a fracture and has only just returned to training?

Some people are quick healers, perhaps young Ballard isn't one of them?

Where you getting 4-6 weeks from? The press release on his injury from SAFC said no timescale and would be out for the foreseeable? Returning from injury is never a set thing

Because that's what was said by Mowbray once his scan results came back.
It was a fracture, not a break. The time scale before starting light training again is upto 6 weeks. His words not mine.

Its been 10 weeks now and hes only just back on the grass

Everything I am reading is people saying it would be a post world cup return. Should never put time scales on injuries

I'm not accusing him of feigning injuries mate, I'm sure hes more frustrated than anyone.

I'm just saying it's very frustrating for us as fans to lose such a top player for so long. Fractured bones take quicker to heal than tissue injuries do, and 10 weeks is a very long time to be out. I've suffered numerous fractures myself over the years including a fractured foot like him (caused by being too drunk) , so I have a genuine idea in how long it takes to get back doing the things I used to enjoy doing.

Took me 3 months to kick a ball again after I did the exact same thing Ballard did when I was 18

I thought they came out later and said there was other problems? Might be wrong mate. He certainly doesnt look like one who lets a bit of pain stop him. I think he might be one of those throw back lads - hard as owt but who can still play the game.

Ok fair enough mate I dont know you, but anyone could say what you've just said in response to back an arguement up, coincidentally the same length of time itll take before we see Ballard kicking a ball again.

I'll agree to disagree with you then

No mate theres been no problems, just a small fracture heal of the foot, so theres not many other problems that could arise.

That means you disagree with the medical staff at SAFC. Is that fair to say?

Yep, agreed mate, feared it might be a season finisher when I saw the replays.
I’ll take that in the circumstances, we’ve got Bailey Wright to come in whilst Ballard gets back to full fitness.
It could have been much worse.
