Which player will handle the fixture congestion best?

I fear for Mata burning out but he has shown, with his economy and intelligence of movement, that hopefully he can play 60-odd games and lead us to a top 4 place.

I think the advantage we have is having a player like Hazard in such good form to remove some of the burden. Teams will double up on Bale but if they do that with Mata, it'll leave the likes of Hazard, Oscar and Lampard with more room.

What a great last 8 days this has been in our season!!

Mata is a better all round player a lot more creative Bales good but the media comparing him to Ronaldo is embarrassing.

We have more games so its harder for Mata, but he's not a one man band and if players work well with their team mates than he should be able to use his skills to preserve a bit of energy, plus, like yesterday, rotating him when we can. Would Spurs ever take Bale off to do this, but it is a different position they play, so difficult to compare them for me energy wise.

The plus point about Mata is his integration with the dynamic trio Oscar , Hazard and Mata! Is there a better trio in world football?

Have we got the right manager to rotate them though?

We can only hope, and he did yesterday even if for a short time. But may have been because of a slight injury

I can't agree more with this post... If you mark Bale out of the game then Spurs will struggle but if you do with Mata, Hazard and co will relish the open spaces... It's just so annoying we have dropped stupid points this season otherwise we'd be second and pushing United imo.

But it has been a great week for us... Lets hope it continues after the international break

Isn't it amazing, that with a squad that cost 300m+ to assemble that this is the height of your ambition :D

That's funny as I have seen many posts on here complaining when he does rotate them out for Moses or plays Bertrand in midfield in place of one.

Isn't it the ambition of every top club first of all and then move on to focusing on the title? Yes... this has been a poor season by our standards and we know that but if we get top 4 and a trophy or two, I'd be over the moon

Well Bucks Blue has already replied but here is my 2penneth:

That is 100% not the height of our ambition and I wouldn't mind betting you know that really and what you have posted is a tad embarrassing to you.

Even with us having a relatively quiet season we are still in the mix on a number of fronts. At the same time our UEFA Co-efficient still has us in 5th place.

You also know that we are in a transition season switching from our older more physical side to a team that likes to play with the ball on the deck and at some pace. As per SKY/MOTD etc yesterday the impartial feeling was that any EPL team would find it difficult to live with us when we have our foot on the gas.

The 4th place reference is as you know just a minimum requirement for us to get into our habitual stomping ground of the CL. Look up our stat's for the last decade and you'll see how impressive we have been in this competition.

Our ambition has to be to challenge for the universally accepted number one spot that Barca' now occupy. We've done most other things.

Is that ok for an ambition?

If you were still a decent feeder club, maybe we could assemble our squad cheaper but Sam has put an end to your academy
