If the Chavs make another bid for Modric, surely that's tapping up? Levy has told them he's not for sale, at any price, and that we will not entertain any offers. To offer £60 million for the two players that make our team work is not only an insult, but is clearly aimed at doing nothing than putting us off our stride. They cannot get away with this.

I think the £22m figure was derived from Luka's agent and the figure is purely based on the minimum to buy out his contract. It doesn't take into consideration player 'worth', market value nor supply & demand
