Tottenham have the first option to re-sign Wales forward Gareth Bale, 26, should he be sold by Real Madrid - according to a leaked document. (Daily Mirror) You heard it here first, folks! We'll play him for a couple of seasons and then sell him to PSG for another £85 million, just to piss off United fans. I told you that Levy was a financial and economic whizz-god.
Sounds like a sound plan tbh... - sold him for £85m - re-sign him for £200m - sell him to PSG for £85m ...
Economic Jizz-god more like, considering the money he's spunked up the wall. Once he's finished paying off Adebayor's wages, Bale will probably have signed for Utd anyway.
According to the document Sours have the right to match any offer that another club makes and that RM accept. so if Yawnited bid £200m and RM say yes then Spurs can match that bid or let him join Yawnited. its not the greatest sell on clause now is it, the right to match someone's bid, and in Yawnited's case they will make a over the top bid that you can't match. I would have have expected a clause that gave Spurs a percentage of any sale over the amount they sold him for, but it seems Levy forgot to include it #notasfuckingcleverashethinks
But do I? I wrote the title - that's all. Just because I write something that doesn't mean it owns me.
...but if we do have first option to buy him, Bale must have agreed to that. If Bale wants to return to his beloved Spurs, we'd love to have him back.
