Robins eye loan Ranger Di Canio keen on Balanta By Pete O'Rourke - Follow me: @skysportspeteo. Last Updated: August 28, 2012 2:35pm Angelo Balanta: Being targeted for a loan move to Swindon .....Sky Sports understands Swindon Town are eyeing a loan move for Queens Park Rangers attacker Angelo Balanta. Swindon boss Paolo Di Canio is keen to bolster his attacking options at the County Ground and Balanta is on his list of targets. Balanta is highly regarded at QPR and he signed a new two-year deal at Loftus Road earlier this summer. The 22-year-old has enjoyed two spells at MK Dons during the last 18 months and the versatile attacker has impressed during his time with the League One outfit. Swindon are now hoping to strike a deal with QPR with Balanta with Mark Hughes likely to be willing to loan out the winger so that he can get some first-team action under his belt. .
I just don't get it with this kid . When he did play in the 1st team his performances were forgetable. He has been loaned out time after time , come back , given a new contract then never near the first team again. I'm all for giving youth a chance but how many chances will this kid get. Not even down to CCC , he drops down to league 1. I really don't see him getting close to the first team whilst we are in the prem. For me just a waste of wages , sames as Emphrain.
Got to agree with W9, why do we offer the kid a contract at all? He's now 22, will he ever break into the first team or be worth millions in the transfer market? I can't see either so why not cut him loose?
Hopefully he will not do a Leon Clarke stunt with Di Canio. Where is he now? He tallied up a few goals playing in the lower divisions.
Surely if you havent got any where near the first time at the age of 22 then you aint gonna make it. He could not even get into the team when we was in the championship. Really don't get this one at all.
