It's sounds like we really are in for the guy and was wondering what people thought??? I'm a bit torn firstly I don't think we need another wide man and could do with other positions being strengthened but the more I read About this guy the more I like the sound of him. I only really know what I have read but his pros are Apparently pacey and direct Wolves player of the season ( from there fans by miles apparently) 10 goals and 11 assists from midfield in a struggling side 25 years old Cons Why is in league 1? Why did no premiership club buy him when he went to wolves?
I don't really know much about him, but from your post he sounds decent, Cookie. The "big guy for a winger" comment from C58 suggests perhaps he could play in the middle, as opposed to on the wing? It's difficult to say really.
I wouldn't worry about the league one thing, he seemed to be the stand out player in the wolves ranks last year so looks like he was the good player in a struggling team. As for no one else picking him up - Premiership clubs seem a bit shy of bringing in talent from the lower leagues in the UK. If he were in a lower Italian, Spanish or German league they probably wouldn't think twice.
As I posted when this came up on a previous thread, I have a friend who is an exiled Wolves fan and he rates Sako as a good thing and said he was someone who would look even better in a better side who pass the ball around (like us). He only gets to matches from time to time, but he seemed to think Sako played in the centre.
Probably wouldn't cost upwards of £4m though. If Jol is willing to spend that much, he has to be a first team player. Who will he replace? Dejagah? No. Ruiz? No. Kaca? Bloody hope not.
