So who would you like to see get a runout vs WBA, be it from the start or from the bench?

I would like to see Airey get a bit of gametime, Richardson too, and think Fergie and Tavernier should start

    Krul

    Tavernier - STaylor - Colo - Enrique

    Barton - RTaylor - Jonas - Ferguson

    Airey - Ameobi

    Subs
Soderberg, Simpson, Smith, Ranger, Kuqi, Lualua, Richardson

  2. No i want to win this game as we could finish as high as 9th. If we better the result of Stoke or Wigan we'll finish 10th and that matters to me.

Lets play the team that got a point at Chelsea, but bring on subs later in the game <ok>

Same team as last week (swap Ranger for Lover). Bring Airey, Richardson and Tavernier on at some point

Take it your starting with Sammy up top?

I think we should give the kids a run out but not necessarily start them

Don't be daft. This is an important game which we need to win. And why the hell would you play Jonas in CM?

I want to see Kuqi play at least 30 minutes to be honest. Love the guy and hope he scores.

Sorry guys, off-topic (as always) but I didn't want to start another thread.

Anyway, this is HOADIE_BOI's reply to my plea for him to return to your board:

"I don't come on here as much anymore as their is no point posting as much **** as I did as it is a waste of time and is pointless crap that I did post,
Also I would like to say I know the Newcastle fans don't like me and would not like me back
    "

Sounds like a mixture of an apology and a suicide note. <laugh>

I actually think Shola isn't as bad as we all make out.

He is strong and a nuiscance, can hold the ball up even though occasionally his 2nd touch is a tackle. Better in a deeper role so can be the link man for a speedy striker like Airey, Lovenkrands hasn't the same pace he had years ago.

WBA have a poor defensive record recently so maybe it could even be good to give Ranger a runout and see if he grabs a goal

Jonas played a central role vs Chelski and did rather well.

Give them a run out similar to how we did against Chelsea, not from the start (apart from Ferguson). Although if we're comfortable I hope Pardew brings them on sooner rather than later.

  11. He was playing free role behind Shola, he wasn;t playing CM <ok>

It was more of a free role in front of the CMs, wouldn't play him as an actual CM myself.

Seemed to interchange with Jonas every now and then.

As did Shola, and then once the kids were on Shola acted almost as a CM. Good to see a bit of positional fluidity.

I thought we looked like some Dutch Total Footballing team on Sunday (mainly due to us having about 5 wingers playing). I liked it though. If someone could guarantee we would do alright with that system I'd take it.
On Sunday I want us to go for the win. Put the best XI out and maybe bring Sameobi, LuaLua and Airey on towards the end

Hmm I would go for (assuming that Guti and lover are interchangeable)

    Krul
    Sim Taylor Colo Jose
Lover Barton Taylor Ferguson (LuaLua 75)
    Guti (Kuqi 65)
    Ameobi (Airey 65)

    Move to a straight 4-4-2

Bring on Kuqi because it's likely his last game for us and he deserves a good 25 minutes or so
Airey because he's been banging them in with the reserves so also deserves a run out
LuaLua because he's class and I want to see more of what he can do, and Ferguson will probably not cope with the full 90 just like his other starting PL games.

This is all dependent on scoreline - If we're 2-1 down at 65mins then forget it

    That's what I would do anyway...if I was manager :(

News from the Chronicle is Gutierez is out for the game after picking up a knock last week, so looks like Ferguson will be getting a start on the Right Mid.

Is Ferguson fit? Didn't he pick up a knock against Chelski?
