Former Swansea City striker Bafetimbi Gomis sparked panic in Saudi Arabia when he collapsed on the pitch. https://talksport.com/football/7491...eSDsty1tp41Iiw-fniBgPRmPkg#Echobox=1598042481
Does anyone think he brought anything new to the Liberty (dreadlocks aside). I personally thought he was Sh1t
I don't think he was totally **** , he just didn't suit how we played , he was probably more used to the ball going forward quicker than it came . He did score a few decent and important goals for us. Regarding his collapse as pointed out in the article that happened when he played for us but I can't remember what that was put down to, shock maybe that the ball arrived quicker than he expected, edit I just read Gomis hit the deck because of a vasovagal syncope – when the body reacts to a trigger and an individual’s heart rate drops suddenly and their blood pressure plummets.
My wife suffered a vasovagal syncope on holiday 3 years ago - it was far more sudden than what seems to be the case watching the film of Gomis in Saudi - it frightened the sh*te out of me: she dropped like a stone. I managed to catch her just before she hit the pavement. I thought she’d gone. The Medics put it down to stress - at the time, she was caring for her Mum and her Sister (who died 18 months ago). Thankfully, she’s been fine ever since and I hope she never has another episode.
Good news Taff I hope it stays that way. One of my grandkids ( (he's 8 ) suffered something similar recently, he was taken to hospital with a full set of tests but they couldn't find anything wrong , maybe ?
Hope your grandson is back to ‘full’ health It was pretty scary when it happened - she dropped like a stone, and she was staring into space: she looked exactly like my Mum did when she died .... Thankfully, and luckily enough, a British Physio was behind us and he ‘took charge’. After what seemed ages, but was probably much shorter, she started to come around. All she can recall is feeling ‘odd’ .... Next thing she can remember was being given some water
