Emanuele Giaccherini paid a âsurprise visitâ to the Italy national teamâs training camp â but he will not kick a ball for Sunderland until December. The Black Cats winger was sporting a moon boot as he was welcomed by his Italy team-mates after suffering an ankle knock at Burnley. It was originally feared that he would miss a month of football but the Italian teamâs official account claimed that he wouldnât play again until the end of November â a blow for Gus Poyet as the star begins to adapt to life in the Premier League. Sunderlandâs first win of the season on Saturday was a welcome fillip for Poyet, who has also lost Sebastien Coates and Ricky Alvarez to long-term injuries.
