I didn't get the job, just had email from Ellie..

    Dear Syd,

Thank you for you letter showing interest in succeeding Mr Bruce as manager of SAFC, I read your Curriculum Vita with some interest. Yes you senior management experience combined with being a Super Mod on some unknown football forum is indeed a rare combination, rare indeed.

I discussed your application with Niall who said,”Who the **** is he”, he did however say it in a caring loving way.

Margerate, our CEO, looked at your attached picture and her only comment was,”Surely one rotund man is sufficient in any organisation”. A valid point well made I think.

However Syd, I am glad to be able to offer you a short term contact in a senior role within SAFC, Head of Supporters Liaison Executive.

This role would entail meeting supporters on our behalf, explaining why Steve is a top manager and interacting with the fans at our next home game.

It carries a good salary and life insurance.

    Yours,

    Ellie

So at least its an executive role, good news I think.
