So he either failed to ask the question about the available transfer pot during the interview stage (which is highly unlikely) or he was lied too/misled!
I had a bad feeling about all this way back at the press conference. There was McD, Harvey, Patel and some other clown. The only bloke who looked like he had an inkling was McD. The rest looked like they were dragged in from the street to make up the numbers. Sorry to sound depressing. But I think we can all see how this is likely to end. I just hope with sincerity that McD actually has the balls to walk away if he gets mucked around. I said the same about Warnock last year and unfortunately he stayed.
Also, the stuff heard at the charity event last night is supposedly bogus. Somebody mentioned somewhere if it were true there'd have been someone filming it and it'd be all over youtube.
The source of the info was from an 18 year old who was supposedly there. Funny that because it was a dinner for Business men from what I read. What a pile of Bullocks.
Actually, if you go through the Waccoe link above, there's at least 3 people who were there, all providing very similar stories & producing photos of them with BM. It wasn't a business do as such - it was a charity event (only bangers & mash on menu - not quite business class!), so no surprise if youngsters were there. There has been subsequent positing on Twitter by 'known names' backing this up after checking with trusted sources. I'm not advocating that this is correct, as I wasn't there myself, however it's so easy to rubbish it without any proof. I remain open in my view as I have no hard evidence either way. It wouldn't surprise me, right enough! You couldn't make it up!

It's still Bullocks Why would McD talk about his transfer budget or lack of it in public. He can't be that stupid look at Nick Barmby did the exact same thing last year and got the boot. Look at Poyet talked about the board and got the boot. He's not going to talk about this stuff, he doesn't want to get the sack for running his mouth.
He's clearly not the first, and he most definitely won't be the last. What gives it credence is that he's on clear & open record as saying we have 7 signings lined up but is still awaiting permission to complete. Every day that goes by without a signing .... We'll just need to wait & see.
The transfer window dies not open until July 1st, I know we all dwelling on what has gone on in the past and im not saying it will be any different , but lets just wait and see before jumping on the gfh haven't got a pot to piss in bandwagon.

BM is saying quite clearly that the 7 deals are 95% all done - but still waiting on the ok. Do you think GFH have been taken by surprise when BM asked them to cough up pwhat they assured him? 5 of them are apparently freebies FFS !!!!
So what they're free. That doesn't judge them on how good they are. It just means they didn't sign a new contract for what ever reason
