When was the last time an emerging player was backed by our manager. I would say Steve Bruce with Jordan Henderson and look how well he is doing (coincidentally backed at Liverpool too) We had Fraser Campbell, 6 million, never really backed and given an opportunity, let go for 6 pence. We have Connor wickham £9 million and no doubt will be let go for 9 pence. Has this lad been given as few as 5 games in a row? How do we expect these players to ever improve? Managers must get back to stating he's going to have a run in the side and stick to it. He hasn't been afforded the opportunities of Altidore? Now we have an element of fans who expect miracles from players on a daily basis and if you haven't done it in two matches you're ****e.
