Right. Todays the day fellow blues. Today is the day we seize lur destiny and get back on track! Apart from ivanovic and courtois we have a full squad. Id expect a team of: Begovic. Azpillicueta, zouma, terry, rahman Rlc, fabregas, Willian, oscar, hazard Costa That team is good enough for anyone on its day-hopefully today will be that day. Lets be fair villa are in a similar situation to us, and need points. Theyll be well up for it-as will we. Its going to be a cracker. Ktbffh!!!
Chelsea 01 Begovic 28 Azpilicueta 26 Terry 05 Zouma 06 Baba 07 Ramires 36 Loftus-Cheek 22 Willian 04 Fàbregas 17 Pedro 19 Diego Costa Thats a high energy 11, wasnt expecting hazard to get dropped, but hey, things happen-hopefully it gives him a rest and reignites that flame inside.
All good from Jose. This is a blessing in disguise - Ivan. Fab up is pretty darn good as well. Would still have Matic over Rambo in that holding alongside RLC. Rambo is a major liability.
we went super defensive in that one, it worked and we ground out the result. My one take a way is that jose wasnt lying, baba isn't ready. he was quite poo in that game tbh. We need a fit, calm and on form ivanovic in this team. I dont know whether he is gone for good in terms of being a top full back...but we need someone to step up! Baba prove me wrong man, PLEASE
Positives: Eden, Ivan & RLC. Areas of improvement: Fab to bench. Baba is raw and nervous. Miles better than Ivan. Pedro needs to improve. Invisible for too long. Bottomline: Another fortuitous victory just like against the goons. Very very lucky against awful Villa. Maybe Manu are the only team who are luckier than us all season.
You really are a glass half empty kind of fan aren't you Stan? Man U lucky? I hate them with a passion but they had a great win at Everton.
Am more a realist than a pessimist. Manu don't deserve to be in their place & we don't deserve to be in our place. Both lucky to find themselves in this place. have you seen my posts from 2 years ago in Jose's first season? Was so real optimistic!!
Was the kind of performance you'd expect with us being low on confidence, a few nervous moments but relatively comfortable throughout. Rahman was awful at left back. I wouldn't say he's not ready id just say he wasn't very good! He's so direct too, gave the ball away countless times. Azpi was great on the right though. RLC was a disappointment. I've seen him play 10 before but I'd say he was more of an 8 and joining up with the attack from deep. Anyway, a decent win and hopefully we can kick on a bit now.
You've stolen my thunder (impressive win at Everton btw). Yep it was a nervy win against a shambolic Villa side but a welcome 3 pets nonetheless - proof of sustained improvement will come in the next two games v hammers & the scousers. Still think this will be a transitional season for us similarly to the rest period you guys had with Moyes.
That's the only true statement you have said, because you definitely should be bottom 3. Its lucky that you play Villa this weekend, the only team you would have been likely to get 3 points and they gifted you the win
Unbelievable away form from the Hammers. Glad we play them next at theirs. Let's do a Bournemouth on them. Onwards and upwards.
