So, with the season almost upon us, what do you think will be the staring line up(based on no more signings, which looks more than likely) for the first game? Is our starting line up weaker than than the last few games of last season?

Well given we were rubbish at the end of the season, I think its gonna be a slow start to the season with lack of goals a major issue.

    Definately weaker imo.
Could be as bad a start as last seasons without any quality signings being brought in. We are too good to go down but wanted a good start. Hope I'm wrong and the lads fond their scoring boots.

The lack of strikers is a major concern ;this is the time for Ji,Wickham and Noble to show us what they can do-Wickham is the one that I think will come good but I'd love to be wrong and see 2/3 come good.

I think we can guess what our formation will be, like that of Barca and Spain, 4-6. We will lose the first two games and then panic, and bring in Heskey as target frontman, or maybe Bendtner again.

If we can't score we'll struggle. If we can score we should be aiming for a Europa League spot, with 7-11 being realistic. Still have doubts about where the goals are coming from though.

My big worry is that even if we do bring in some new faces, we are back to taking time to gel.....3 points at the beginning of the season is just as good as three points at the end!

We'll sign before the season starts. O'Neil's not a fool.

    Mig
    Bardo-Cuellar-O'Shea-Ricco
    Larsson-Colback-Catts-Mac
    Sess (if fit)
    Ji? Wichkam? Frazier?

Looking at that we need a forward and a left back. With a left back we could move Ricco in behind the front man.

We are weaker than the end of last season, Bentdner was our only premiership standard striker last season (and even he was very average) and even he's gone. I'm getting seriously worried, people who say the friendly results don't matter because they aren't competitive forget that the last few games of last season were (supposedly) competitive and we were dire in them!
