We won on Saturday and you can only get 3 points from a game no matter what the score- Notts were bound to win having taken action recently. We have now got the monkey off of our backs as far as a winless run is concerned and I am sure that a home win will follow on Saturday. We will be there to see it happen. 2-0. Either way, I do hope that Junior is given a respectful reception. He may not have been everyone's cup of tea, but deserves acknowledgement for what he did do for us all the same.
Never really rated him as a player but as a bloke I don't think he could be faulted, never downed our club during his time with us or since, I have no shame in shouting out, I will loudly applaud him and welcome him back, I will also take the piss, heckle his team and shout 3 times as loud if we win, if we lose I'll get my hanky out and quietly wipe my nose..
Much the same sentiments for me, irritated me as a player but always conducted himself well personally
HE WAS A ROUND PEG IN A SQUARE HOLE... Had GJ not been with the club he may have fared better but players with their dads in charge are always going to be up against it. Had his moments but the important thing, the fact he is managing a club, kept them up, but struggling at the moment shows he was and is a thinker of the game...deserves a good welcome.............
I was a fan of LJ was a far better player than some gave him credit for...will give him a great welcome back then cheer on the City to a big win!
'Had GJ not been with the club he' would have never played league football. Look at his record from Watford Youth, to Yeovil, to City and then WITHOUT GJ......................... Not 1 English club took the option to sign him when Junior was on loan - not even Chesterfield FFS. Was in a Pub league and was dropped after 77minutes at Hearts then returned to the Pub league to be ditched by Kilmarnock. On OTIB they're saying he's a nice guy and talks well of City. Even Victor could be nice on £6k a week. Retired at 31 - Absolute joke.
Junior in a tizzy... http://www.oldham-chronicle.co.uk/n...83133/johnsons-scathing-attack-on-his-players
'You should have pointed this out before.!!' Always been my trouble - backward in coming forward. Junior - ''I couldn’t even go in the dressing room to talk to anyone; I might have ended up in a fight.” Chip off ........
I never had a problem with LJ and I don't care that he wasn't picked up by other clubs......always put in a good shift for us, IMO was a decent footballer (not great) and even though lots gave him loads of stick, he always played well for us in the championship. Not as if we replaced him with someone that has set the world alight have we? Deserves a decent reception.
Lee johnson -- A Bristol City player during our best recent spell in history, 100% commitment and not a bad word to say about the club and we are discussing whether He should receive a good welcome or not.! Ian Holloway -- "The only good City fan is a dead one" hates our club and everything about it and like a lot of Gas speaks with forked tongue about it now (and quite a few buy it!) and will on every occasion be warmly applauded and clapped at all 4 corners of the ground.. Only in Bristol City land.....
