Right things seem to have got a bit crazy over the last couple of days, I don't even know what's really going on any more to be honest with you... So, time for some actual football talk! Middlesbrough at home on Friday... Anyone going? Are we expecting a big crowd? Score predictions? I am not confident at the best of times, let alone when we are on Sky. Think I'll go with a 1-1 draw. Do you think it's an advantage that we play on Friday night? If we win, it would put pressure on the teams around us on the Saturday.
I'd take a draw, any result that keeps them below us It wont change things for Saturday, Hull will still be looking to win at Pboro, Palace will at home to Bolton. Watford should beat Uddersfield, unless Danns and Beckford feel like doing us a favour.
We saw on Saturday with Hull's result that no game in this league is a given. It's actually getting tough to predict results based on the league table as teams near the bottom are starting to panic while others will be thinking of late runs at the play-offs... That said, we beat Boro at their ground and we're now better than we were then. I'd take a draw, but we should be more than capable of winning this. A loss will undo the advantages gained at the weekend, which will be very disappointing. I'm going for a 1-0 win, with Nugent to score.
I'm going for 6-0 with Wood scoring all the goals in the first 19 minutes...... On a serious note I think it wont be easy but we'll have enough to grind out a narrow win. Hull and cardiff both to drop more points too!
I wouldn't take a draw. We need to be winning games, especially at home. We're in good form and Boro have quite a few injuries atm so I expect a good perfomance and hopefully a win. I'll go 2-0 Wood and Nuge.
I would have been quite concerned about this one if it hadn't been for the recent momentum we've generated .. Boro have a good young side .. probably a little too inexperienced to go straight up this season ... but in 12 month's time.. ... given the momentum mentioned and that we should get a fairly good crowd out on the back of it (despite Friday night and the telly) I'm hoping that we will have too much for them and that our roller-coaster continues on the up trend ... I'm going for 2-0 to us ..
Nailed on Leicester win and it's rare I say nailed on.. 3-1 Leicester You beat them away and you will beat them at home. Hopefully My team HULL CITY will beat Peterborough . Especially as they did us at the KC. Fingers crossed that Cardiff City get beat. .
I wish I was as confident as you scarbs Who are Cardiff playing? In all seriousness, outside of all the silly remarks, I'd like us two to both go up. Would prefer you to Cardiff any day of the week!
Think Cardiff play Blackpool.. Iv wanted both our teams to go up all season AND last season.. I honestly think both sets of fans deserve some good times .. I also like watching Chester and Hobbs and Fryatt when fit . Thanks to NP bringing them in .
Also got a good smacking at Cardiff on the way back to the coach going back in time and the same at Middlesborough the smoggy bastards.. Never had any trouble with Leicester Fans apart from being hit with a sharpened penny back in time at Boothferry park when both sets of fans where in bunkers separated by a line of plod..
I'm actually quite nervous about this game, I'm going to go for a draw. Middlesbrough will be looking to improve on recent results, and I can just see us being a little complacent.
Good old Charlie, forever the optimist! Middle of January and he thinks a win on Friday and we are promoted???? hmmmm if only! lol bless him
My head says we will win. My heart wants us to thump them. So why do I feel so nervous about this game? Think its probably cos of years of hope being dashed. Head says Marshall (due a goal), Nugent and Woods to score in a 3-0 win. Scarbs - remember Ayresome Park with the dockers and skinheads at the top of the steps hurling rocks pennies and coal down at the Leicester fans. A walk back from Ninian Park to the railway station with that ****ing incredibly long road being lined by Cardiff skinheads trying to break through the police cordon. Happy days eh?
Regarding Hull's match, I can't see you slipping up again in back-to-back matches. Peterborough beat you at your ground and you lost at home in your last match so, as this is the Championship, I think you're dead certs to win at the Posh!
