Quite possibly this could be the first time there have been more runners on the pitch than fans in the stands! Perhaps the runners will throw money to the supporters? First time in a long time that Birches run will be in front of a meaningless, televised game at the end of a crap season when fewer people can be bothered to turn up. I'd expect the overpaid underperforming players to make up any shortfall in the collecting tins. Although with the commitment and effort most of them have shown this season, I wont be holding my breath.
