    Still can't really believe it!!

4 points from City and Chelsea away is nothing short of miraculous. Now attention needs to switch to Cardiff, we NEED to win. If we win then I change my mind and I think we'll stay up

Every player put in a great shift today.

Mannone managed to put his error behind him and was class today.
JOS, Brown and Vergini all solid
    Very good performance from Alonso
Catts wasn't great, struggled with his passes and never really was able to influence the game
    Colback also not very influential
Good performance from Seb, he always works his arse off
    Borini is so ****ing cool
Good to have a striker who thinks like a striker, good reactions from Wickham
Jozy was also good when he came on, won us the penalty and held the ball up quite well

Very happy, but now we really need to make our last two results count

Was happening non-stop, chelsea drenched the pitch!

yeah, ours definitely more than their players, but their watering cost them the game in the end!

What is this excessive watering for anyway? What advantage does it give? When I played (not to any great level), a slippery pitch was a leveller! When I played full back it was great for sliding tackles! It gives centre forwards and centre halves a mare and midfielders no chance.

I must be getting too old

I think that they think it makes for slick passing bobby but I agree with you. It's more of a leveller in my eyes.

i think its because of the very nature of the retention level of moisture is low due to the drainage etc ,its that effective it requires a bond of water to stop it being torn up through dryness within the turf.
it did seem heavy yesterday though
