If we want to finish top ten then we need to sort are back line out. We need someone that is goin to be able to partner collo at the back. I like taylor but he seems to be always injured and williamson just doesn't do it for me. I think we should look at signing matthew upson on a free and maybe joleon lescott. Lescott may stuggle to get in the city team now they have signed Savic and Clichy. What do you think?

I think you're mental. Taylor is better than Upson and if anywhere in our backline needs sorting it's RB. Sorry for Simmo but he is a definite weak link in our defence. If Jose goes then we need a replacement but it looks like we have at least got backup in the Form of Neil Taylor coming in.

Taylor might be decent but if he spends half the season in the physio then hes not much use is he.

I don't think we need a new CB, Coloccini, Taylor, Williamson and Kadar are all good CBs and Kadar needs a taste of first team football, as after all he is a Hungarian international! :). But if we were to improve our defence I would go for a RB, Simpson has looked quite susceptible at times last season. And our cover in Perch and R Taylor not exactly world beaters. I would go for Onuoha (I know), but his pace is astonishing and he is really strong. Him and Enrique at full backs would do me fine!

Aye you're right but I don't think Upson is a step up from Taylor or Williamson. That's not because I rate Willo either, i think he's a bit crap tbh but Taylor is great when fit. If we're going to strengthen we need to improve so the next step up would be the likes of Scott Dann or Crissy Samba.

Both had good games against us.

I'd ****ing love Samba and Colo as our CB's. It's one key signing which would really strengthen our defence and improve the results of next season.

Wouldn't mind Roger Johnson or Scott Dann. Steven Taylor is our best CB when fit imo. Our fully fit back 4 would only need a new RB and it would be very very good.

Colo and Taylor are good enough for the time being. If we have spare cash then look to strengthen defence but forwards have to be priority!

I disagree. We can finish top ten with the back four we have.

However, I do think Simmo at RB is the weak link in our first eleven and we could do with a better CB to partner Colo if we are to have a realistic chance of progressing to european qualification. Upson or Lescott aren't the answers though, we need better than that to improve.

Obviously the LB slot could be weaker soon as well if/when we lose Enrique and we will not get anybody better than him in the short term to replace him.

Would also love Scott Dann. Not Roger Johnson though he's terrible, only played well next to Dann and as soon as Dann was injured Johnson started playing poor

Colo is brilliant and the rest of the back line are all under 26 and can develop into very good defenders. Lescott and Upson are shocking.

Scott Dann's a good shout! He's been attracting a lot of interest though hasn't he?

I'd like one more CB I think, but wouldn't mind if we don't as it gives Kadar more chance to develop. Which is nice.

But a definite no from me for Upson and Lescott

I think Johnson is a class player, but Birmingham had no depth so as soon as Dann got injured Johnson was playing alongside awful players. I think Dann is better slightly but they are both brilliant defenders.

Lescott and Upson would be a step backwards, I'm happy enough with the way the guys we've got have coped. An improvement in any area would be great of course.

I think our back 4 is fine enough as it is. Strikers are the priority right now!

And Simmo may not be brilliant but he's not shocking either. He can improve, and I honestly think he will do. He's proved he can hold his own in this division. An improvement will obviously be good, but I'd rather get a bleedin' striker in first!!
