Been reported today... he went to ground with no-one around him and will most likely miss Euro 2012. http://www.sbnation.com/soccer/2012/5/5/3000882/bacary-sagna-injury-arsenal-vs-norwich-euro-2012 What an awful day. I can't wait for this season to end. I actually don't care where we finish now. .
Agreed - the season has been a disaster and noone is going to tell me that something in the Arsenal set up is not causing these injuries.
What the does landing awkwardly when trying to control the ball have to do with the training methods?
It was the same bone that was previously injured I think. Let's be honest Sagna was awful today anyway. It would not have made a difference to the result if he had stayed on the pitch.
Wenger advocates some sort of super duper diet to his players. I think the odd curry and kebab will put hair on their chests and a layer of titanium around there bones.
Yes, the one he picked up after a Spurs player shoved him into the advertising hoardings. I blame the training methods for that also.
I didnt say the Arsenal training methods - i said the set up. There is something not right. There were some discussions about the pitch previously (same structure as Wembley) and how it causes injuries. We need to do a thorough investigation at the club, because the leg breaks and injuries are not normal.
So you blaming the Arsenal pitch now? If he did indeed got a leg break, then that is the first at the Emirates, that I can remember.
There have been some discussions about the pitch and our training pitch in the past. There have been several injuries at the Emirates.
How can anyone blame a broken on training methods Maybe a hamstring pull or calf strain but a broken leg really?
Well you could start with Jack Wilshere who was put out for a season after landing and twisting his ankle. The questions around some modern pitches are related to them being too hard, using an artifical underlay. Wembley and the Emirates are two such pitches.
I would say it has less to do with the pitch and more to do with the way injuries are treated... that kind of a fall should not really result in a leg break, and in the same spot. Something is wrong.
Sorry to hear about this. Nobody likes to see a player pick up a serious injury. Hope he recovers fully and quickly.
Well we already know we have the worst medical team in football, but something else has to wrong for all these serious injuries to keep happening. We cant just keep putting it down to bad luck.
Wenger just said, that when Sagna landed the Norwich player stepped on him as well. Two legs breaks in a season, poor bastard.
