I think there is a clause but linked to relegation.

 

Hopefully just a clause like he had in his West Ham contract, leave on a free if we are relegated. Harry probably just trying to unsettled Ba just because he can.

There will be a clause. Ashley is opportunistic and this is the perfect deal for him. 10million wouldn't be too bad either although I think he is worth around 15million

Honestly I don't see him going anywhere in the winter - I know it's the sort if thing that's open season for banter and a bit of frisk, but shelling out for player just about to leave for ACoN seems unlikley...

Also surely people must have twigged that someone performing for one club doesn't guarantee they'll be a success elsewhere and for most folks Ba is a surprise revelation - in a different team he could turn out to be just another Carroll or Torres.

I reckon he should have at least a full season to prove consistency and fitness before the £10million+ makes sense. Mind you in what universe did £35million make sense for Carroll?!

 

I am calm and the reason I'm calm is because I've calculated what will happen and I've accepted it. The thing is it's so frustrating to see some people can't do the same . We will sell our best players and ont win anything ever until I'm dead at least I'm sure.

Don't think Mike would allow a clause with such a low fee (by todays standards) involved!

 

To be honest, i don't think fat mike expected him to do so well. Due to his knees he's a walking injury risk plus he did play for a side that eventually got relegated. 10 million sounds perfectly plausible.

I see where you are coming from. However, I still think Mike would have put in a higher fee, if there were one on the contract. Mike, wouldn't have allowed Pardew to sign a player who he thought would spend vast amounts of time in the medical room. I'd imagine MA would have made sure Ba was put through a lengthy medical
