First match against Wealdstone*the team I used to watch sometimes when the Rs weren’t at home. Serendipity.


*Misread, using Wealdstone’s stadium.

Was that when they played at Lower Mead, behind the cinema? Haven’t seen them since the seventies, but I understand they have wandered a bit since then. Used to enjoy going down there with some mates after we played for school in the morning. Harrow Borough wrong side of Harrow for me, I was Harrow Weald/Belmont side.

Would've been early 80s, the cinema sounds familiar. I was in Northolt, but close to South Harrow so Borough was quite local if I remember (moved away from the area in 85). Me and my mates used to hang around the skate park in Wealdstone a lot
