If you had the choice, would you stick with McCormack or buy either Beckford, Mac-Smith or Maynard?
Or pick another (realistic) target perhaps?

    MOT.

McCormack will stay, and we'll probably add another striker. I'd get Beckford, although we won't. He pushes on the last defender, and is a goal poacher, whereas Ross drops deeper and can create as well as finish.

I think when NW says he can only afford one out of a striker and a winger he means in the £500k to £750k price bracket, I don't believe for a second that he has anything in excess of £1M to spend after the signing of Peltier.

    1st choice: McCormack + winger + striker
    2nd: McCormack + winger
    3rd: McCormack + striker

Would you consider taking Beckford on a season long loan?

I'd rather beckford stays - with the right service from midfield he'd score 25+ goals imo

Beckford is deadly with the right service. Managers need to accept he's not going to track back and defend, so just trust him to score and he will. Excellent striker.
