The last few weeks reading through the footy news on the Swans, I keep on seeing Ayew putting himself in the shop window? The latest is his undying love for Liverpool, previously to this it was how he'd love to play for a big club? Is the guy a tart or what, is it possible he can show some respect for his current club?

I hope that he will get what he wants and that we get a big fat fee from some doppy top 6 team, as I don't really think he suits our game or team, I know he has scored well this season, but he ruins the balance of our team, and I will not miss the mercinary.

Ayew was a childhood Liverpool fan and the current Liverpool manager is a huge Ayew fan , a great receipe for making money .Although he's scoring all our goals , I believe his erratic style of play is sucking the life out of our team play , much like Whitey said months ago ,and is why nobody else is scoring .
I too would like to sell him (and Gomis ) in the window and use the money made for Ayew to bring in a streaky winger and another striker and try to get back to our old game
I figure we will get 18 million for Ayew of which he will probably receive a third of it.
12 million will buy a couple of good additions as long as we don't spend it laclustreldly like Tabanou and Eder.
I would also be happy for Ayew and be tremendously appreciative toward him for even considering us in the first place and for the money he left behind .
Nothing but respect for the man , whether he stays or goes.

Depends what Ayew said, how he said it and in what context. He may have been answering a specific question about Liverpool. I wouldn't read too much into it.

He's scoring the goals we desperately need so I would say he's playing in the right areas! The problem is the manager is trying to play him in the wrong area, which is not natural for Ayew, and is not balancing the team to accommodate him. If Ayew stuck to the position the manager thinks he should be playing in then we'd be no better a team (IMO), just be scoring less goals.

Either Monk sorts the shape out or drops Ayew if he's not sticking to the game plan.

Well it's clear to me that in whatever context he is making these statements, he is clearly passing through, so hope we use him well up until he moves on, today would be a good day for him to show what a catch he would be for his beloved Liverpool, I hope he bags a hat trick, and we bag 18 Million in the transfer window in January for a serious striker who doesn't need a trip to specsavers,

Go-miss to start and fall over is feet, and get flagged off side 7 times..................<laugh>

Why not try him as our main striker, he cant do any worse than Gomis, I remember trying another attacking midfielder as our main striker and he got over 20 goals that season.

Why not indeed, I think a lot of us would like to see that tried. Only the manager can answer why he's persevered for so long with an obviously unworking formation. It's such a shame as Monk's had quite a few games to try different things but appears somewhat stubborn.

Agreed. But lumping the ball upfield hoping he'll hold it up won't work. We might actually have to play a bit of football.

We would then have to natural wide players who could go on the outside rather than have one and another (Ayew) who cuts inside on every occasion.

It would free up the wing position, maybe put Routs out there and get back to a bit of wing back play. Take pressure off Monty so he's not so doubled up on as much and get Siggy back into games as a play maker.

I would never play Ayew in the middle.

From BBC sport - "Swansea City boss Garry Monk believes the club's spirit and belief will see them emerge from their run of poor form".

    Just like magic <wizard>

We know you're convinced when you post it twice

Edit: erm... a page refresh seems to have removed the double post :emoticon-0111-blush

    Why wouldn't you anyway?

Because Ayew has his own uncanny sense for the right time to go to the middle , something he would lose if he was always there.
Ayew is a winger and is used to worrying only about 180 degrees of playing field .Not only would he be trying to revise his way of playing , but it's dangerous not being used to tackles from behind all the time.

Ayew is a master at sensing when he's about to be tackled , and the majority of them have been from behind as he's been heading forward so I'm not sure what you mean as not being used to e tackled , the poor blokes got a large circle on his back inside of his name and number .

But he wouldn't always be there. He'd be playing as a central striker but roaming around all over the place, he'd be a nightmare to mark. We'd still have defined, disciplined wingers as well then. If we went back to a more fluid passing style we wouldn't need a "target man".

We all have opinions and I respect yours but ultimately I will always be against playing players out of their normal positions ... Cheers
