So, with Norwich reportedly the latest club to bid for Ayala, what do you fans think about him?

Liverpool fans - Do you reckon we should keep him? With all this reported interest from newly promoted clubs and Hull, then perhaps he is good enough to give him a chance?

Norwich and Swansea fans - Do you welcome the news you've both bid for him? Would he be a regular starter for you?

Personally I reckon he should be lent out to a premier league side with an option of buying at the end of the year. That way we could make a decision on him over the course of a year and if he looks good enough, incorporate him into our team.

I think the same, I would prefer to see him go out on loan in the PL along with Suso and Pacheco to see how they get on. But if he does go I wish him all the luck. <ok>

The reports on SSN suggest that Liverpool have given Norwich permission to talk to Ayala.

I think we would gladly take him, even if not a regular starter would be great cover <ok>

Same Thai. Who knows if he's better than what we've got, but he certainly seems to have the potential so I'd gladly have him at our club.

in the end it'd be nice to move kyrgiakos out and buy someone really good or give the slot to ayala

but we need to face reality. agger is suspect, skertl is injured... kyrgiakos is therefore needed.... but why? i think wilson, ayala, wisdom and coady are simply not ready yet, not for us where we want to be. the we factor in Kelly... he is ready.

therefore we as a responsible club must think about the boy. he deserves his chance so if he wants to go we need to let him go as it allows the others develop that are coming up behind him... the fairer we are with players the more likely good ones come to us

I think we should let him go on loan, Hes looked good from us since his debut in Stoke in 09 and he was solid for Derby and Hull City. I think a loan with option to sell, or at least a sale with a buy back option, is the way we need to go.

It seems daft that we've shelled out £16m on Henderson for his potential, and then go and sell a defender with just as much potential for somewhere round £1m.

I like him and hope he stays.

He is out of contract at the end of the season, so loaning him out wouldn't really make any sense (unless he's imminently offered a new deal, which I can't see happening.)

It looks like a fee has been agreed with Norwich now anyway and he'll sign within 48 hours. It'll be interesting to see how he gets on in the Prem, looked a class apart in the Championship for us - he should perform well in a Paul Lambert team.

We thought we had the deal wrapped up earlier in the week, but obviously because of the broadcasting of the fee being agreed with Hull City, it put the two Premier League teams on alert, meaning we didn't stand a chance. Really hope he's a success down at Norwich, top defender and definitely future star <ok>

I reckon he should go. Don't think he will get enough games.

Think he has a chance of doing very well at Norwich.

So by the sounds of it, fees have been agreed with Hull, Swansea and Norwich. Up to him where he goes now then.
He would be a great acquisition for us at Swansea, if he doesn't go straight into the team, he'll definitely be challenging Williams and Caulker for one of the CB spots.

He's having a medical either today or over the weekend, Kenny has said hes on his way to us and we very rarely announce anything to do with transfers until there completed so I'm guessing he's as good as a norwich player. At 850k, an absalute bargain <ok>

I know Tate and Monk are also challenging for places, but I'd be surprised if Tate started at centre-back without the rest being injured or suspended. As much as I like the guy, these Premier League teams might be a bit too much for Tatey. I hope he proves me wrong. He did when we got promoted to the Championship, so fingers crossed!

Nottage: You are joking, of course. That mantra was fine in the lower divisions but Tate has reached his to level last season imo. Prem players will shred him for pace.

As for dai numpty "dont really know much about him to be honest so not that excited about what happens or where he goes." That doesn't mean you shouldn't care. Surely you can accept others views from a number of different clubs that he's a young talent that's worth chasing. Wise up. You DON'T know everything. Far from it.

Sell on clause(Money say 10% /Buyback options) would be good if we are letting potential youngsters go on the cheap in order to progress their development.

This transfer is in no small part down to a certain Mr Pacheco. He would of told Ayala to join us, of that there is very little doubt.
