Well i suppose a load of the threads will be repeated on 606 and here now. But anyway with Deby's local press saying that Ayala was going to sign for them and this seemingly not happening/ being announced yet it would seem to confirm that Daniel wasn't too keen on the idea and hopefully corroberates the reports we heard that he wants to come back to us. Heres to hoping...
A bit of a worry, this just went up on the BBC site http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/d/derby_county/9371969.stm
I hope i didn't tempt fate. Posted literally 4 minutes after I posted here. At least im a cynical atheist or I might start not crossing people on stairs, walking under ladders etc.
He is injured until Late Februry anyway so i'm not too bothered anymore. Yes he is a fantastic player but I would rather see a player come in on a perm or go for him again at the start of next season.
He's not injured anymore, he returned to training last week and is due to play for Liverpool reserves on Wednesday night.
In that case maybe it is worth it. What is there about 20 games left? Didn't I read a quote somewhere that he would rather play for Liverpool reserves than Derby? We do need a CB now that Zayatte has gone. If Gerrard or Chester got injured that would leave Mcshane at CB, which is dangerous.
The Daily Fail site did say he'd rather play for the reserves than go to Derby and Clough has been quoted as saying he still needs to convince the player. On the topic of McShane, two people have posted on football-rumours.co.uk today, stating that Sunderland are going to try an re-sign him for ÃÆÃâÃâ ââ¬â¢ÃÆââ¬Â âââ‰â¢ÃÆÃâÃââÃÆââââ¬à ¡ÃâìÃÆââ¬Â¦ÃâáÃÆÃâÃâ ââ¬â¢ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¡ÃÆÃââââ¬à ¡ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã700k.
Haha. I also enjoy reading football-rumours.co.uk. Isn't Macca mocked in the Sunderland community. I remember a video dedicated to how bad he was. If we replaced him I would be happy to see him go. I remember JozyJozyJozy saying he was on 27k a week.
I'd love it if they signed him again, after all the piss taking that went on when we signed him, but I can't see it, Brucey would get lynched(hopefully)
Sunderland in for McShane takes some believing. They were wanting to drive him down when we signed him. It would be a big shame if Ayala went to Derby. Now we've lost the Z man, we seriously need some bolstering in defence. Given AP's comments on where Ayala was treated though, I wonder why the hostility from Liverpool on loaning him back to us? If he's happy here surely it's better for them to keep a smile on his face?
I definitely think we need to pull out all the stops to get Ayala back, I'm not convinced that Chester is as ready to make the step up as AP would have liked!
Call me greedy, but I want them both, I'd drop Ayala straight back in at centre back, with Chester moved to left back.
Lets hope the Pearsons are working behind the scenes to get him back! I wouldnt be overly confident with McShane as cover. Having said that, Corry Evans played for Man Utd reserves as a centre half last season. Maybe thats what he's here for???
I remember at the time thinking the Sunderland fans were being a bit harsh, but they weren't. His hearts in the right place though, I'm sure he could do a good job in League One for somebody.
I still have confidence on this one. Derby were almost convinced he was going there late last week. Their comments seem a little less clear cut now, particulary clough saying he needs convincing. Would love him back, agree with olm though, would be intrigued to see Chester at left back
