Sitting having a lovely relaxing Cerveza on the terrace, when this ****er runs over my foot.... Now, to give you an idea of scale, them tiles are 15 x 15 inch, I did the only thing a tough Mackem can do, I screamed like a girl and ran like ****. You will see on the wall where I hoyed Mahou at the bastard. I stand by for Comm telling me that they are 4 foot in Thailand!
It could do with cooling down a wee bit Vince up to 32 I'm delighted, soon as it hits 33 it's a bit tough! was 41 in the hills on Sunday, was insane, I'll take it over grey and rain any day mind marra
you bugger thought it was a thread about mags and i was ready to wade in, on your behalf like, ya naar back up and all that
The stuff of nightmares mate, I've had several bad experiences of that nature in student houses, though I'd imagine the sun and 35c heat might soften the blow a bit haha
Its only a centipede. Biggest species is 12 inches long, the ones in thailand grow to 20 cms long, sounds like the fisherman who caught a fish | | that big, by the time he got to shore it was |.................................................| big. and their bite can be painfull but its more like a bee sting than a snake bite, deaths from centipedes are very very rare, and its usually kids. I seen this video a few years ago when my then 4 yr old daughter wanted a tarantula, so i was looking for vids to show her (to scare her off as i didnt bloody want one) they worked eventually. but this one stuck in my mind as i was like a centipede killing a tarantula, never. Seriously Steve, the stings were about an inch and a half, that would have ****ing hurt! The 6-week old kitten wasn't scared of it like, bashed it up a bit and of it wiggled, the awful ****er.
Horrible horrible things, hate them. Steve say's 'bite like a bee sting', yeah ok, why are the locals **** scared of them then, and deaths do happen, but he is correct it's usually to kids. Amazing what you can read as opposed to living amongst them. Mush if you see anymore, their death should be the only outcome...
Yeah read up on them Comm, and they are killers. As said mainly children, but it says an adult with allergy to wasp sting etc would be ****ed!
but an adult with an alergy to a wasp/bee sting would be ****ed if they got stung by a wasp/bee. and MONsmush said that you said they were 4 foot long, thats 48 inches, the longest and biggest species only grows to 1 foot or 12 inches, thats big enough though. tbh I would probably cry like a baby as well, there was 1 in here last night, was probably only 3 inches long, so just stood on it, but if had crawled over my foot, i would have **** it probably lol (definately would have got that back of the neck twinge when something creepy crawls over)
