From the News: http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/awford-and-hollands-net-nominations-1-6030677 Andy Awford and Danny Hollands have been shortlisted for League Two awards in recognition of their April performances. Awford has collected 13 points from a possible 15 over the month to lead Pompey to Football League safety. Now he has been nominated as manager of the month, vying with Phil Brown (Southend), Paul Cook (Chesterfield) and Chris Wilder (Northampton). Hollands is up for the playerâs award during a period which has seen him net twice and establish himself as a key component of the side during his loan spell. Joining the 28-year-old in the running are Pablo Mills (Bury), Josh Morris (Fleetwood) and Nick Pope (York). The results, as judged by ex-Wimbledon boss Dave Bassett and former West Bromwich Albion striker Don Goodman, will be announced tomorrow. /\/\/\/\/\/\ You'd think Awford would be favorite for the manager's award but I'm not sure about Hollands for the player's one.
both deserved.......Awfs has it in the bag surely? as for the players, Hollands has been fantastic......but my money goes with the York keeper
Would be great to see them both win ! Do hope Awfs wins manager of the month - if he doesn't, it would be a travesty, to my mind
Andy Awford has been named April 2014 Manager of the Month for League 2: http://www1.skysports.com/watch/vid...4/awford-claims-league-2-manager-of-the-month
Very pleased to see Awfs win the award, and let's not forget the fact he achieved this as the caretaker manager, in his first month in the job. Some feat !
