Another cracking away trip we miss out on this season <doh>

Some of us have already had a trip with Charlton to Swindon in the last year....when our train to Swansea City was cancelled and we had to travel to Swindon and change :steam:

That was on the same day that it was announced that Duchâtelet had sold to ESI ....how times change.

A game that we should win on Saturday<whistle>

Must agree with Elfs on Swindon.

Stopped off there a few times during my many trips along the M4 while working on site in Swansea during 2014-15.
Has nothing whatsoever to recommend it as far as I could see.

Is the atmos particularly good in their stadium?

Cracking as in easy to get to by train. Agree the town centre is a **** hole, although well stocked with pubs, cafes and bookies.

Am I right in thinking that Swindon games have resulted in two Charlton managerial sackings in recent years ?

The 4-2 defeat at home, that did for Parky.

The 3-0 defeat live on TV, that did for Slade.

    Good knowledge :emoticon-0126-nerd:
Maybe if we get a drubbing today TS will give Bowyer the heave-ho and draft in Slaven Bilic.

Anyone else remember the old away stand at Swindon ....on the side of the pitch in the corner. Made of 100% wood from memory. Wouldn’t get away with that these days.

Haven’t looked the same team since we lost the pairing of Innis and Famewo , we should be able to cover Morgan and Shinnie

Assuming that the Skipper will play in central defence today alongside Pratley.

Oh yes - Charlton’s very own Hinge & Bracket must be certainties to start together again today ....despite all the evidence that it doesn’t really work.
