Use that line, it's very useful. There are shuttle buses from the station, be there by 2 and you'll be on time for the game.

Do not get the Elizabeth line. The cost is the same as GWR, but it takes twice as long. It costs around £28 return. Catch any GWR mainline service from Paddington - they run fast to Reading and it takes 25 mins max. The stadium is a £10 taxi ride from the station. It is unwalkable. Book the return cab as well, as it’s a stampede after the game.
Kojak, the Eliz line works for a lot of people, certainly from South and East London. A down side is that the Eliz trains do not have toilets I'm going to have problems tomorrow on the train back
I’ve used the Elizabeth line more often than you have fallen over p issed coming out of Spoons The Reading service stops at a lot of places in Berkshire / Maidenhead. It is slow. Hence the advice to get a GWR from Paddington.
