A big contingent of 606’ers including @Clb74 and @Miketyson2007Junior & the Sheriff make the long journey north on Saturday. On a personal basis, there are two things I am fervently hoping NOT to see up there - Naby Sarr in our defence, and @Clb74 legs on the terraces. Apart from a 1-0 win against bottom side Barnsley, Boro are also on a terrible run of form just like us. The last time we travelled to Boro we stopped off on the way back at Darlington, where as everyone knows there is a superb Northern chippy just outside of the station. @Beware of the Virus strode in, looked at the menu, and said: “Can I have some guacamole on my chips please” The baffled chippy owner replied “Those are mushy peas lad”
No expectations at all from this game as far as I'm concerned. Our squad is ravaged with injuries. Lockyer suspended (though I assume Purrington is back). If we get a point it will be a bonus. If nobody else gets injured it will be a bigger bonus. Cannot believe we can win it. I'd take 0-0 or 1-1 right now. A defeat won't surprise me at all. Just hope it is not a thumping.
Just for the sake of a festive chuckle, here is Seriously’s bizarre take on the Boro game. Apparently it’s something called a “bonus game” ...does that mean we get 6 points when we win ? And what’s the relevance to looking forward to Millwall at home? Clown.
@Clb74 The forecast at Middlesbrough on Saturday is 3 degrees and snow showers. Don’t turn up in your Y fronts.
The thing with SeriouslyRidiculous is that now 606 are not represented with the Sheriff and his Deputy, he does not have anybody to wum. He REALLY does believe his cobblers.
Bowyer is using Seriously’s post for his team talk at Boro tomorrow. “Right lads....this is a bonus game. We’ve got to look forward to Millwall at home in February”.
Alarm set for 5am tomorrow A very early start and a 500 mile round trip, but nothing will stop me supporting the beautiful Addicks. Bowyer’s at the wheel
