After a difficult game at home to Wolves, our next stop is Aston Villa at Villa Park. This is going to be be a difficult game but Aston Villa are coming out to play. Last season, we are cruising but Villa snatched a draw. After this game we are away to Manchester City, as a result, we need all the points here. Game :Aston Villa v Liverpool Date: Wednesday 19/02/2025 Venues: Villa Park Time: 19:30 TV: TNT Sports. Referee has been appointed for this game. He is Craig Pawson please log in to view this image
so this one then. Villa 4 Celtic 2 (CL last game) Wolves 2 villa 0 Villa 2 Spurs 1 (FA cup) Villa 1 Ipswich 1 (ipswich player sent off) Injuries Torres out Cash - doubt at least. onana - a doubt at least. konsa - possibly back. in training barkely - possibly back. in some training Bailey - probably back Kamara - a doubt last line up: Martinez Garcia Disasi Kamara Digne Mcginn Tielemans Malen Rogers Ramsey Watkins Weak back line. Not the most secure CMs, very dangerous forwards Predicted line up: Alisson Trent Konate VVD Robertson Gravenberch Macallister Salah Szoboszlai Diaz Jota Gakpo possibly on bench. Jones on bench so those are the two first subs along with bradley. Just have to go again. Villa seem put out by the timing of this game.
Villa are blowing hot and cold, have looked great at times, but have looked poor in other games, notably following CL games and also against Ipswich last time round who, as mentioned above, where down to 10 men for most of the match. Not sure who will turn up when we play them.
They were probably the better team at Anfield but we did them on two counters, which actually bodes well for an away game.
Martinez will have a worldie after a series or total **** ups lately. The second he sees alisson down the other end he will be trying everything to prove he is no 1. They have really good forwards but that midfield is more attacking than anything due to availability and then thr defence is in trouble
Aston Villa not going to be easy, but they haven't won any of their last 4 league games, which might suggest now is a good time to be playing them.
Success, bottled so we can go on using it for a long time. /don't worry antijinx device applied to this post
No such thing. A karma cat is going to jump on that desk, bat that bottle or glitter inot the floor and smash your dreams now.
True, no such thing as an anti-jinx when there's no such thing as a jinx. It's like casting a spell to keep the unicorns away.
Yet wvery week some jinxing **** makes a comment and arsenal score and win. It clearly can have nothing to do with Arsenal's quality as everyone says they have "no forwards"
Sponk. 3 months of the season still to go. I have a horrible feeling we may be playing Endo at CB in May when we're desperate to win games. Maybe alongside Quansah, given Ibu's injury record.
