Do you have the feeling that our fans get 'muted' by Sky whenever the Nasri-chants start? For some reason the sound of my TV sounds differently for a moment whenever the 'Samir is a ****'-chants start...
The reason we appear to be louder at away games is because all our hard core support is together rather than being split up like we are for home games
Because away fans get drunk on their travels and lose their inhibitions. They also don't tend to be 40-year-old accountants from Harpenden called Peter who thinks Arsene plays really groovy soccer.
I have to say that the Emirates needs fixing up. For example, when Wenger reads out the winning programme number, you can see his face is like "I want to ****ing manage my team, not do this ****" Before EVERY match instead of wasting time on ****ty clips of Chamakh's goals for Arsenal and whatever, show the opposite team being ****s in previous games and 60,000 people will laugh at them.
Away fans travel together in groups and get tanked up to the max. Home games are full of tourists and it's harder for the singing fans to be seated together. It's the same at Anfield these days, sometimes you feel like you're intruding on somebody's conversation when you sing sometimes.
'away support' ??? CYM has to wear his support at all games - since he had that minor incident with the frisky ewe.
The reason is simple - too many "corporate" fans go to home games and have no clue about football or it's passion. The real fans struggle to go to home games and when they do go they are sat with bloody idiots. You feel like a complete tit being the only person to stand up and sing. The Emirates atmostphere blows !
