    Afternoon Stokies <ok>

We play you at the Brit on Saturday and I was wondering whether you could recommend a decent away pub? I've been to your place once before but we went straight into the ground and this time we are taking the train. Any ideas or is it best just to go straight in? Cheers.

My advice would be take the short trip from the Station approx 5mins by bus or Taxi to the Stadium. Directly opposite you will see the "Harvester" Used it many times an always see away fans in there. And never any problems. But, get there ASAP if you want a snack/meal it get's really busy. Hope this helps and ENJOY the game.

There is another watering hole only 10mins walk from the Brit. The Gardener's just off Campbell Rd but, not sure if they would welcome away fans? Other Stokeies might know and give more info on this.

As Potts says try the Harvester right opposite the ground that would be the most easy and safest place to drink as they monitor the door there to avoid trouble. Plus as away pubs go it is quite comfortable with a family like atmosphere!

If your going to the ground then as above the Harvester. Outside of that, you can try the hotel opposite the trainstation or walk 2 minutes down the road and thyere is a pub called the Tavern opposite the Uni, you should be OK in both of those. Outside of that mate your struggling, esepcially with the Stoke faithful in most of them. Have a good day mate, best of luck!

Alright.... cheers all... also would you recommend taking a taxi to the ground from the station? And if so how would you go back to the station? Walk?

    Take a taxi mate,
And, it may be best to pre book a return too! Usually there's no problems with away fans but around the area of Stoke Staion I'm not sure.

They do run a football only bus service from there but I think? It's only for home fans. Maybe best to check in advance. IF you walk I guess it would take at least half an hour maybe longer and the city centre does get crowded. Either way, enjoy the day and the game. <ok>
