have we (or any other club for that matter) ever had a worse away strip. the dutch look great in orange, ours looks like something out of the jbb sports bargin bin.
It's not particularly inspiring, I much prefer the red and white quarters which are classy and more in keeping with our traditional away colours...
A few clubs have worn pink... and then there was that horrendous 'Caramac' colour that Pompey wore a few years back...
We've had an horrific orange kit before, shirt, shorts and socks! It was so bright the TV cameras couldn't focus on the players properly. We wore it away at Palace and won 3-0 I think (could be wrong - I'm getting old) only game Ray Wilkins and Peter Reid played together.
What was wrong with the 'Dennis the Menace' away kit ? Thought that was back to stay for a couple of seasons at least
Funny, it began to grow on me during the Everton game(right after we scored) but as soon as the first Wigan goal hit the net the scales began to fall from my eyes and by the time the final whistle went I saw it for what it really was;a poster paint sponge job fit only for a binman's hi-vis jacket.
I dont think much of the home kit either when i saw it against bolton i though it looked more like a sailors out fit no offence but that was my thoughts.
Agreed Twins. Sitting in the middle of the Wigan fans at the DW last week I had to agree with them that our morango strip brings away strips to a new all-time low - beating their luminous bin man hi-viz jacket they had last year. Their pies are ****e though! I certainly pick my games to travel over to, don't I?
Spot on. They were our original colours. I liked the sky blue one we had a few years ago, the one that looked like City's / Coventry's home shirt.
I prefer dennis the menace but I don't mind the orange too much tbh. I actually dislike the home kit. I much prefer the hoops wider, although my two sons like it, so maybe I'm just old fashioned.
I'd call it traditional, just like myself. On the other hand, have you seen what Celtic were wearing over the weekend. Now those were thin hoops.
I don't think it's too bad. A bit bland perhaps. When I was about 8 I had a fluorescent yellow away shirt which really was terrible.
