quite likey. Infinitely better than last year's maroon monstrosity, but then again, anything would be.

Mark, the last time the club referred to a centenary of something, was the official centenary in 91-92 with that horrible blue and white checked away kit. IMO, the burgundy was definitely better than that. As for the new away kit, I like it. Wonder what the away keeper kit is like.

I love the whole concept of remembrance and I like the shirt, so much so that I may even buy it (I don't normally buy footy shirts). It's a thumbs up from Mini Bloother as well. I quite liked last seasons away shirt at first, but I liked it less and less the more I saw it.

As a slight aside, I've often wondered if the club would do a one season change of the yellow kit, say a blue kit, to commemorate our history. The obvious time to have done this would have been the 125th anniversary. How would people feel if the home kit colour was changed for one season only?

Not a good idea in my humble opinion.

I like it very much and will consider buying one - I am not normally a shirt wearer, but I do like it. It is certainly causing a lot of flouncing on some of the Web Sites and I have helping to fan the flames!

Good idea that £1 from every shirt sold goes to the Royal British Legion <ok>

Lets hope they make £100 before the end of the season

Like. Buying one. And as to the ribbing we'll get away from home... bring it on! We'll give as good as we get, and then some.

I can hear it now... "It's not fair, they've even loaned their kit..."

The fact money is going to the legion means that if people do start slagging us of they're going to look pretty silly and mean spirited. Aside from the fact that our away support could get confused for being newcastle fans there's nothing not to like!

If we do, we can always say we wore those colours first - they didn't start wearing black shorts until 1922 & they obviously got the idea from us... ;)
