Got to be purple and lime, it adds a characteristic touch to our away kit, something unique to our club.
I've gone for purple and lime! It's our identity now and we can make it our own. Nobody else has it but many have white and black.... It's BORING!
Understand the tradition with Black and White but we Got good results in the purple and lime (even v Liverpool away in the cup) so good to stick with it-
I've still got my old purple and lime top from that cup run in the 1990s but I must say I much prefer black and white.
There were protests v Manager and board, walk outs at an away game due to Osmans tactics atn Pompey when City wore it in the early nineties. That season more went to Anfield than some home games. Red and White home, White and Black away = 100% City. Purple and Lime plastic.
I want it to be blue with the lack of transfer activity and a blue away kit otib forum will go into complete chaos it will be great pre-season entertainment

Steve Cotterill’s champions will wear it for the first time against Yeovil Town in tonight’s final pre-season friendly at Huish Park (7.45pm kick-off). The design and material is bespoke for Bristol City with a brand-new pattern, still featuring the sponsorship of RSG and Poplar Insulation. The away kit features a black shirt, with a central purple and lime stripe and sleeve trim. The shorts follow the same pattern with a purple and lime trim, with socks in purple. Modelled by Bristolian Joe Bryan, the strip will be available to purchase from the Leeds United home game on Wednesday, August 19th (7.45pm). Adult shirts are priced £44.99, with shorts £24.99 and socks £9.99. Youth sizes are available for £29.99 (shirt), £19.99 (shorts) and £7.99 (socks). A special kit bundle for kids is also available priced £49.99 (includes shirt, shorts and socks).
I must say, I like this. In fact I would venture that its the classiest away kit we have had, except that I would have had black socks with a purple/lime trim. True test though is in the results - make it a feared spectacle for opposing teams
Bristol Sport have really outdone themselves with this kit design. It looks as good as anything you'd see from a big-name manufacturer. I hope the build quality is comparable.
