What looks like the announcement of the away kit on the 15th June. What do you think to the socks? https://twitter.com/hullcityteam/status/343021306591191040/photo/1
I just posted this in the new shirt thread. Is it red and blue, or looking more Villa/Burnley/WHam style claret&blue? Either way, I quite like a bit of a different style. But can we really have a mainly red(ish) shirt? Unless our home kit is mainly black.
This would be an interesting kit to see. Red and blue away kit? Where does the logic from that come from? Aah well. Best give it a chance and wait to see the final product before starting an anti-change campaign.
That really must be a first for us. I know we added a bit of red under The Don in the 80's but it was only a splash. Very interesting indeed.
Id imagine the shirt will be blue, just red socks. Interesting colour scheme for us. Im not knocking it though.
I think that might be right. Chelsea's away kit is almost entirely white, with a blue trim, but blue dominates the socks. Probably looking at one of those V-shirts (e.g. Aberdeen), or one of those more Stoke-style shirts that have the annoying wings on the sleeves.
I've always liked Atletico Madrid's kits, they have red socks, blue shorts to go with the red/white striped shirt. the socks look similar.
Our home kits have had red included between 1982-1990 if I remember rightly (might be 1980-1990, just going from memory). And the last time we had red and blue in a kit together, was the one OLM posted, that was 1999/2000 Season wasn't it? Joyce's reign.
Agreed, it's pathetic. Saw someone claiming we'd sold our soul by bringing out this new kit in red & blue for thr away shirt. Way over the top, but that's city fans for you. Are we Palace in disguise?
Isn't there a required number of times you have to wear an away shirt? Otherwise what's the point bringing one out if your colours never clash. Our's only clashes if we play Blackpool, Wolves, Barnet.
