Mr van Gerwen mentioned that he'd been to about 70 grounds with Charlton, this comment was prompted by the fact we can 'enjoy' going to Accrington and Burton next to season. Two grounds which will be new for most fans. Of the current venues I have been to 84 of the 91, obviously not including The Valley. What about all you people?
My away record is very poor in recent years. Carrow Road, Craven Cottage and St Mary's (Southampton) are my only outings for a long time. One of those was an FA Cup game.
Not looking forward to revisiting many Northern hellholes next season. But enough about Luton. I think I'll give Bradford, Fleetwood and Doncaster a miss next term. 3/4 times is quite enough. Wycombe is a good day out, even if their ground is situated at the far end of an industrial estate.
If Roland sells I'll buy a S/T and hardly do any aways. If not I'll do a few aways, hopefully Roker and 4 or 5 others.
I'll lend you my time machine for the Roker Park trip. I'll want it back in time for the Belle Vue trip, mind you.
Seen us play at over 120 grounds but am still short of the 92 by 11. As said, two to look forward to next season.
I've actually been to Wycombe Wanderers twice with Dartford FC. The first time we lost 6-1 and the local yokels threw rocks at us. The second time was less fraught but I wouldn't go back again.
Burnley is a cracking day out but the town centre worries me what it must look like on a wet Sunday afternoon.
