Performance aside credit to the team for an unprecedented 9TH away win of the season .Not being greedy but please can we have at least 2 more ,especially the next one COYS!!!!! 9
Remember not so long ago that we couldn't buy an away win,now it's better than our home form. Could be because teams are more open when we are the visiting team as opposed to parking the bus at The Lane.
Which is sort of funny because Liverpool and ourselves must be two of just a few you've been beaten by on the road.
Ironically so. The Scouse pair, the filth down the road, City and the Geordies on the opening day. Beat Reading, Man Utd, Southampton, Fulham, Villa (who were dire), Sunderland, West Brom, West Ham and now Swansea. Only drew with Norwich (home and away, bizarrely) and QPR. Helping out our ex-employees, obviously...
If like myself you've been a Tottenham supporter for more than a decade, then your remember the dire days when we were competely hopeless on the road. And there was even one season under George Graham where we won just two games away all season. So the fact we could well end the season with 10 away wins or more is testament that we are no longer a soft touch. I also believe that a hallmark of a great team is how they perform away from there own supporters, and that you win league titles due to your away performances rather than what you actually achieve on your own ground especially in tight league campigans. Rebel the next one you refer to is not who you might think, if Chelsea beat United in there quarter-final replay. I believe it will be Wigan actually cos the rentboys will beat United.
I think it's was Jeff stelling who said yesterday that we have scored 31 away goals, which is the same as united. (Joint first in the league). Imagine if we had a striker, eh?
