Our away form this year is amazing in the league , P 11 W 7 D 3 L 1 , but whats the difference , I don't think we are playing amazingly but we do enough and mentally we are much stronger this year , but how can a club who didn't win for 40 odd games be so good away now. .

It certainly is an amazing turn-around.

I have spent nearly all of my gills-supporting years thinking away defeats are part of the territory. The odd draw here and there coupled with once or twice-a-season memorable victories are the lot of the long time gills fan.

However, this season I found myself a little disappointed that we didn't actually beat Plymouth, and that we lost to Torquay. That in itself is absolutely ridiculous!!

Before every single away game I still say to myself "a point would be great", but I am now actually believing we have a chance of winning all those games. This is new territory for me.

I have no definite answer why we are now so strong away from home, but MA must certainly take the credit. It is either his belief, or the belief of the players he has brought in, that is making us hard to beat away from Priestfield.

There is the incredible belief of the individual players and the team. But it is so often hard to find. I admit that when we went all that time without an away win I heard myself sat, just go for it, and don't give it away, and surely if a team is rubbish or we get lucky...... How did that not happen in all that time????
Some leaders have it, and others don't, sometimes it comes and goes.
Just enjoy the now, and I mustn't fall into the trap of being disappointed when we are not amazing.
I love the Gills, and this mad game. 50 points by Christmas?
