how many swans fans are going to be sitting in the home end at arsenal? i was unable to get a ticket amongst our fans due to the fiasco with the website. i'll be taking the wife as it's our anniversary and a special day for me. i looked at sites like ticket master and they had plenty of tickets available at highly inflated prices. so i decided to join the wife as an arsenal fan on their website and booked two seats in the upper section of the clock end behind our fans.
so who else has been forced to do something similar, and what do arsenal fans think of away fans doing this? i know it happens at lots of prem games, i've seen games on motd where there are lots of fans with red manure shirts sitting where say, white shirted fulham fans should be sitting. is this something that we are going to have to do more often this season because other clubs only give out a small number of tickets to us? what do you think?

To be honest I'd imagine as the season goes on the novelty of the Premiership status will wear off for fans who just fancied a day out at a Premiership club. Couple that with the fact that most grounds are bigger than ours, and as such the away sections are normally around the 3000 mark, and I think we should be alright...

Don't worry about anything. As long as you're not wearing a tottenham/united/chelsea shirt, you won't get any slack. Just don't randomly shout things like 'Van Persie is ****' because that's just stupid.

  5. Sorry to hear of your ticket woes but at least you're going to be there now. I'm working so you'll be seeing some of our new guys in their Arsenal kit before me. Hope you enjoy yourselves and have a happy anniversary.

I did a hospitality package at Man City and had a very good time and stadium personnel were first class.

Looked into the sane thing at Arsenall and it was three times the price. Ouch! All other tickets sold out. Despite being a Jack member, I don't know what I'm going to do for hone games this season and away games against the London clubs - easiest and most cost effective for me to get to - look like they are going to be tough to get tickets for as well. It all becomes a bit of a crap shoot - I either book flights early to get lower prices and take avpunt on getting a match ticket when they go on sale or I wait to get a match ticket and then pay-up for flights.

It looks like most of the Swan's matches will be on tv and usually live over here, but there's nothing like being at the Liberty or other stadium.

I'm in the same boat Yankee, although I am going to be back in Swansea for the winter at least as of October, so hopefully I can catch a few home games too. I'm seriously considering the Chelsea game... season ticket holder mates are fairly sure they can sort me out between them...

Yep I will be in the home end with my son. Got tickets from one of the season ticket holders, there are a number of schemes there where ST holders pool the tickets for the games that they cannot make. I have been asked not to wear Swans colours or go overboard if we score, that is part of this particular schemes rules.

I will be in the front row of my sofa, on 10am here and start work till 1 00pm. Suits me sir. I predict an early Swans goal, a 25 yard screamer. Arsen Wenger protests it was never a penalty, it was offside, it was a foul, he dived, should have been a throw in, to Arsenal, throws his water bottle at the ref and orders all the Arsenal supporters out of the ground in protest at the bad decision. The game continues with all the Swans fans gathered together singing whilst the Arsenal players, heads down suffer another rout and the mighty Swans are victorious, return to Swansea for another open top bus parade through the City. I love drinking Tequila when I have the next day off.

Swans are about three times the size of Shrews, so that`s about the right quota?

5200, but we lift our attendance and performance to meet the occasion. we have been offered 9k tickets, in all honesty i doubt we will need that many, times are hard. ticket prices are most reasonable though
