Hull City AFC are looking to expand their Away Direct membership for the 2015/16 season. Away Direct is a scheme that Season Card holders can sign up to which automatically sends out a match ticket for every away league game during the season and debits the relevant amount of money from your account. Supporters also have the option of including tickets for cup matches too, even the irrelevant ones. The scheme already has dozens of loyal members, many of whom signed up when Hull City AFC were still in the bottom division. Away Direct is a great way for Season Card holders to guarantee tickets for each away game during the forthcoming Sky Bet Championship season, especially with a number of Yorkshire derbies to look forward to where tickets are likely to be in high demand. If you would like to join Away Direct, please download an application form by clicking here and return it completed to [email protected]. Or for more information, call the KC Stadium Ticket Office on 01482 505600. http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/...-away-direct-2504274.aspx#r5VHiMKMt4TjG9iv.99
That'll be the one that they closed and only left open for a few of the original members when they wanted to re-engineer the social profile of away fans when we were in PL first time will it? All the 'spectators' couldn't get seats for Man U because of all the bloody 'fans' in Away Direct! How times change
Now they try to increase the away following - why didn't they spend the ASI money on the away fans last season when better away support may have led to better results and may have avoided relegation
designed to increase away support from existing season pass holders and prevent anti-Allam 'I'm only going to away matches' from getting tickets
Look at the ****ing dog's breakfast they make of communications In one release they have Hull City AFC written twice - that's good to see Then the email address is @hulltigers.con The website is hullcitytigers.con AA a marketing genius?? More like a complete novice
Poor treatment of supporters full stop. Don't want to know when there are sell outs but handing out concessions when times are tough.
It was Duffen that altered it, wasn't it? After the first season in the PL he said it wasn't up to him or the club to decide who was a loyal supporter. A good way of ensuring more of the corporates and the sit down shut up brigade got tickets for the glamour games.
That absolutely didn't happen, despite going to almost all games and being a corporate member, I couldn't get tickets for Old Trafford or Anfield in our first Premier League season.
It was Duffen who scrapped the preference given to people who had been in away direct except the handful who joined when we were in the bottom division. Just because you couldn't get tickets in the first season didn't mean it didn't happen. It just illustrates how shambolic our ticketing arrangements were in the first place and Duffen's decision compounded it.
Duffen was certainly responsible for scrapping the previous arrangements, but the tickets going to corporates is a complete myth, it simply didn't happen and it caused them a lot of problems as the corporate membership price was supposed to include priority tickets for away games.
I got tickets for two separate games from one of the minor sponsors who said they had no trouble getting them, must have just got lucky.
It may not have been corporates necessarily getting tickets That wasn't my point Duffen did change it to ensure that old school away direct fans weren't guaranteed a ticket, so other newer fans could be encouraged That may have indirectly made more available for corporate tickets, I've no idea, but it certainly started the process of sanitising the away support
It depends what games they were, there wasn't really an issue getting tickets for any games other than Man United and Liverpool.
This all seems rather strange to me. Last season hardly a peep from the club. Fast forward a few months and pleas for people to buy season tickets, away direct and James Mooney seemingly on tap when RH want him. Why has this come about then ???
It's called increased marketing and an attempt to raise the clubs profile and appeal. It's what we've always lacked and what a lot of people complained about.
