    Hey guys,

I was thinking of applying for my first away game at Liverpool (i'm a season ticket holder but never been to an away game yet). I know i may not get a ticket but i was wondering if i did, how does everyone get to the games? Do you need to sort your own transport or is there a coach laid on?

Please excuse me for sounding thick!!

It's really up to you how you get there mate.

Liverpool's a good city to go into by train, you come out walking distance to everywhere from Lime Street, and there are buses from the City Centre up towards the stadium, if required.

Scousers are very welcoming to away fans, Everton away remains my favourite away fixture, Anfield suffers a wee bit due to the diabolical view from the away section (Everton is only marginally better mind...).

Be a great first away game, packed, August sunshine, and 2 sets of passionate and loyal fans buoyed by a constructive and promising summer in the transfer market, your biggest issue is likely gonna be getting a ticket, as demand for the away end will be through the roof <ok>.

If plausible, try and stay the night and travel back the Sunday, Liverpool is a fantastic and generally inexpensive city for a night out, and in my experience, we get along great with both Liverpool & Everton lads, very welcoming towards us.

You could try one of the supporters club branches and see if they are running a bus. It might the cheapest way as train tickets can be expensive if booked close to the date you travel.

You could book by the supporters club which I believe has an shop behind the bus offices near to the Wheatsheaf. Or you could book up by ALS which has a shop next to the cafe next to the stadium car park. Both these options are far cheaper than the train, but not as comfy.
