It seems there's talk of a pre season friendly against Glasgow Rangers. Would anybody consider going up to Glasgow for it?

I went to the last one in 2010 and was surprised by the warm welcome given to us before the game while walking around the shopping area. Everybody seemed very interested in what we thought of our chances for the season etc etc and it was all just good friendly banter.

I'll definitely go up for it if it comes about.

The trouble with Glasgow, is that no matter how hard they try, the natives simply cannot stop themselves from hating English people.

    True story.

I stay in Bothwell, just to the South and it's a very canny place.
The hotel is call the Bothwell Bridge Hotel and that's where I spend 2 hours sat next to Alex McLeish and Archie McPherson watching one of our European Nights under Dogleash.

Is there a date released yet? I might go up, also thinking about the Blackpool game if that's confirmed.

No date has yet been mentioned for the Rangers game, with some complicating factors. The reduced status of the home club sees their first competitive fixture scheduled as early as July 27th, a Ramsdens Cup tie. And while SPL sides can apply to play friendly matches after the start of their season, we're unsure whether SFL sides enjoy the same facility.

Guessing it's going to be before the 27th of July anyway.
