Lad I know was as City and said it was the worst away day atmosphere he’s seen in many years. Gotta be the new rules and interference from the NUST clowns surely?

looks like a lot of our hard core away following won’t be able to see as many games moving forward.

Can’t agree with the premise which you seem to be suggesting. Tickets for away games are notoriously hard to get and therefore the points are hard to get.

A lot of tickets in the past have been got by fans who don’t go and simply sell on to others but the non attending fan gets the bonus point.

Now only attending fans will get the point. Makes it fairer going forward.

But the core support... however it gets there.... isn't the same.
It's like away day rules.... those that travel know that your seat number is irrelevant as folk gather where they want so they can chant and sing together. Now... it's apparently like a morgue with in fighting as to who sits where.
Let's see... but the strict policing will I think lock out a lot of hard core fans now who used to get in off the back of a mate's ticket and contribute a lot.....

I take your point but should they be entitled to get in ahead of others who are "ahead" in the queue to get those tickets?

The City stadium doesn't lend itself to crowd noise. It's a fairly low, wide bowl shaped so doesn't trap the noise and I am sure they actually pipe in Man City crowd noises as I was hearing chants when I couldn't see anyone singing.

Great stadium for watching games but the atmosphere is weird.

100% this - those that complain are the mongrels it's been bought in to stop abusing the previous system where its a closed shop and only them and their mates ever get tickets.

I mean that's literally the point of having an assigned seat though? So if a dad and his bairns want to sit in their assigned seat's, they should just accept "its away day rules" and allow others to sit wherever they want? Makes no sense mate, what's the issue with sitting in the assigned seat? It's not like they are more than 40 meters away from anyone else in the section at any point! If those that are lucky enough to get tickets want to whine about that they should give up their tickets and go support that lot down the road - sure they can find whole sections there to sit in as they like and sing while they Dutch rudder each other. <hug>

These people think they own the club... they're school prefects still causing trouble to date.

The worrying thing is the club seem to listen to them re ticketing rather than the fanbase as a whole.

I remember these ****ers thinking a buyer would want them involved in the club via a %. The last thing any club needs is fans having a say on anything.

It should at least be a poll or something where all ST holders, members, even anyone with an NUFC account have a vote, not just a select few at NUST and the members of that.

That wasn't it at all - did you even subscribe to that drive? The whole point was to buy a % as a fan base - not as the trust - if Ashley drove the club to the absolute brink of financial ruin so we could save the club. £250k raised inside a few months and as soon as the Saudis came in they donated the huge chunk of money to 4 hugely important causes in the city. How the hell that gets a negative spin is beyond me?

That's literally what your £1 membership to the trust gets you - an emailed poll with a "0-10 do you agree/disagree" that the club will listen to, if they want to (NUST aren't in Amanda Staveley's ear telling her what to do and the board just do whatever it is the trust suggest <laugh>)

We should start the Supporters Trust of Newcastle United in competition with NUST, or maybe the People's Popular Trust.

Their idea was ridiculous, a complete non starter and incredibly arrogant. If they want money for charity do a fund raiser like everyone else.

They interfere in things... they're troublemakers.

Did their great idea come to fruition? No because nobody wants them owning 1% or having any say in the club except them.

It was more likely to frighten off buyers... the last thing they'd want is a weird overbearing fan group.

They literally raised TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND POUNDS in a matter of months!

Tens of thousands of people got on board, Legends like Shearer, celebrities like Graves and Ant and Dec donated - they had MP's and celebrities looking after the money and 4 amazing charities benefitted hugely.

So in short yes it did come to fruition and it was a ****ing wonderful idea with people delighted to see their money go to charity when we won the lottery with the new owners.

I'm rarely rude but your a mong of the highest order if you think you know better than all those who donated when you clearly didn't and haven't the first clue about what it was people were donating to or are talking about.

Like I said if they want to do a fund raiser then do one , but their idea was a complete non starter.

Why do you think the new owners haven't taken them up on it ?

You seem to be confusing me saying their idea was ridiculous with me saying money for charity is a bad thing.

Again by having to ask that question you just clearly don't have the first clue what it was actually about?
