It's up mate from 40544. We have played all the top teams it might be worth noting but it's nowt that can't be maintained or bettered with a good run of home form.
And the arsenal figure is absolute bollocks. They release attendances of 60,000 when there are hundreds/thousands of empty seats in a 60,000 + pennies capacity ground. Early in the season my Arsenal mate said he was sat on his own at the back of one of the stands with no-one within 5 or 6 seats of him in any direction! They have "stay away" season ticket holders who they still count as attended as their seat is effectively sold for the game - do we do that? From what I remember we count the number in through the gate
Makes me sick TBH Sid. The clubs with **** support winning cups or playing in Europe. Clubs like Swansea have nothing we don't have and inferior support. If we don't win summat before the Mags it'll be a sickener.
Great attendance average considering we are bottom of the league, although it would be far less without the many special deals that have been done with schools and businesses etc..
To be fair other clubs use the same schemes. An even cleverer scheme would be playing in the top 8 or winning cups.
I agree with tho top eight, but a hell of a lot of our fans don't seem to give a ****e about the cups these days for some reason..
I think 40 years of cup failure has conditioned people. Our abject displays in recent years haven't helped. Be funny if we won the league cup, this season, with 3 different managers.
I wonder if that would be a first? My worry is that the Chelsea league cup tie will feel like playing away as there are so few of our fans buying the very cheap tickets..
8 days before xmas, £10 or £15 doesnt matter mate, family will always be priority, stocking fillers or a trip to the sol on a freezing cold night, if money is tight, stocking fillers win and rightly so imo, still think your right though 35k+
I'll be there on another cold night and I better get my bloody ticket for the Wembley final before all the self professed lifelong fans appear.
It annoys me that so-called experts like Merson, Le Tossier, Lineker, Lawrenson all seem to hate us and have a downer on us and want us out of the premiership club! I'd like to see figures that reflect the away support that goes from us to the likes of Southampton / Fulham / Swansea. We put a lot of money into premier clubs' pockets. We should have a no relegation clause simply because of this! x
that's a seriously impressive attendance considering the **** we've had to deal with. and yes, the arsenal stat is bollox. loads of empty seats there up in the gods especially. i'd be amazed if we get a massive turnout for the cup so close to chrimbo. tried to make it but was scuppered by work...
Pitch invasions, by the Boro.. Skip to 50 seconds....
