So it goes around corners a lot, whilst shouting and making rude remarks?

With slight fortune, you didn't deserve to beat them. They should've had at least one penalty in the 2nd half, but yeah thanks for doing us a favour and keeping us at the top with a widened gap <ok>

  4. Oh, come on, Drogs! Have some humility in your heart, on this day of all days!

23 long years! It surprises me that AVB was the man to help us there, but, at this precise point in time, I really don't care. We've done it.

We took them apart in that first half. We played to our strengths and run ourselves ragged, and then played the gamble of putting 11 men behind the ball in the second half. It paid off, and AVB should rightly take the plaudits.

Was even one of those two penalty shouts valid? Possibly. But look at the numerous times we have been short-changed by bad refs, against United. Do you really begrudge us our one bit of luck, in 23 long years?

This is a great day, for all Spurs fans, but especially us who have had to watch 23 matches at OT where we have come away with nothing.

Well it's good for us that you beat them that's for sure. We now have some clear space up at the top of the table. I got my Spurs away tickets through the post the other day. Can't wait for October 20th!

Honestly HIAG, I am happy you beat them! Considering the luck they usually get, no I won't begrudge you a bit of luck there! Enjoy the win, just don't bring out a ****ing DVD <laugh>

  7. Spurs v Chelsea and Chelsea v Spurs have always been cracking derby games. I'm sure that this season will be no exception.

With a 12.45 kick off I normally fear for the atmosphere in the ground. But after our away support today, I have no fears that we will sing loud and proud as will you guys. Should be a cracking game for sure

Top stuff from Spurs. Hats off. AVB might actually have something going here. Definitley learning from his mistakes (or so it seems). Looking forward to playing you now.

AVB will make Chelsea pay, believe me. He was absolutely shafted by our Old Guard AND our management. The improvement in Spurs is down to man management, nothing else.
Robbie has seen the light and turned the Lamps out.

AVB will still be sacked before the season ends. 1 "DVD worthy" game won't change that.

On balance I think Spurs deserved the win.

First half they totally outplayed Utd.

Second half was a bit of a strange one with the rapid-fire goals and Spurs were on the back foot for most of the time. I think AVB dithered as usual and couldn't decide whether to shut up shop entirely or play off the break in the second 45. Whatever, it certainly wasn't pretty football in the second half from Spurs.

But....winnings what matters and despite all the hoo-hah about the nature of our win against the mighty Barca it's good to see that Spurs have taken a leaf out of our book by holding the line and winning even if it looks ugly.

Well done Spurs! A great scalp for you.

  19. I've been watching Spurs for a long time, and for as long as I can remember our matches against United have always been the same: great first half, dreadful second half.

5pu1s have had some dreadful decisions go against them at the swamp throughout the years so the two penalties not given is some karma.
